For users of Interwarn severe weather alert software, a new update to the version 4.1 has been uploaded to the www.interwarn.com website. The new version, 4.1.6, can be downloaded here and boasts some minor changes to the program itself and the user interface.
Note that this is an update that can be installed over your current 4.1 installation; you do not need to uninstall Interwarn.
More info can be found at the Interwarn / Storm Alert Inc. Forums here: www.interwarn.com/forum

MIC Jim Lee of NWS Sterling, VA surveyed the area not long after these photos were taken. His conclusions from his survey are available here: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/lwx/events/20080420/pns_middletown.php
The NCA Skywarn Subnet Map has been updated, along with the net/subnet section on www.147300.com

The Subnet Map with clickable subnet pages can be found at the following link: http://www.147300.com/skywarn/amateurradionets.htm
Thanks to Maria KG4JBJ Asst. Skywarn Coordinator for creating this map.

this information forwarded from Virginia AK4EA, SKYWARN Amateur Radio Coordinator.
What: Advisory Committee Meeting
Where: T & E Conference Room (note that it IS NOT at the normal place)
When: February 16th, 10:30am-12:30pm
The time and place are both different. T & E has a bigger conference
room, and can accommodate larger numbers. If you intend to attend, make
sure you note the change. An RSVP would really help us out!
The T & E Building is at the far end of NWS grounds, across from the new
office. If you are entering the grounds from Thunder Road, make a right
at the stop sign and travel approximately a mile to the T & E Building.
There will be many things going on at this meeting, not the least of
which is a retirement party for Randy.
We also will be welcoming
several past Skywarn Coordinators, and a number of our subnets will be
sending representatives. It will be a great day to meet people and get
to know each other. I am definitely looking forward to it!
See you on Saturday.
